Brian Lamb (center), founding CEO of C-SPAN, conducted many of the original interviews that form the essays within this book. Susan Swain (left), C-SPAN's co-president, has been the editorial director for all five of C-SPAN's books. She was assisted on this project by Jim Cox (right), who brought more than two decades of reporting for USA Today to the project. Lamb, Swain, and Cox all reside in northern Virginia.
